Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner – A Review

If you are looking for an eyeliner that will define your eyes and make them pop, can be applied smoothly, on the inner rim of your lower lash line, then look no further.

This is my favorite eyeliner and I have always used it in Sapphire to compliment my brown eyes.

Available in these colors:

– Sapphire (Blue)

– Jade (Green)

– Cinnabar (Brown)

– Espresso (Brown)

– Pewter (Brown)

– Onyx (Black)

Pros:

Easy to apply

One smooth application is all it takes. It’s creamy and doesn’t tug at the eyelids.

Color stays all day

It’s extremely long lasting. Unless you wash your face with soap and remove this using a wet cloth or cotton ball, it doesn’t come off.

No smudging

This is especially important if you are applying liner on your lower lash line. It’s sexy to smudge liner on your upper lid but very disturbing to see someone with liner on the lower lid. It makes you look sad and dull.

Self-sharpening swivel stick

This means there is no need to use a sharpener. It reduces wastage and also ensures you get uniform application every time.

Color is rich and just one application is enough

You don’t have to go over the same area again and again. Just 1 application ensures dark bright even color.

Good for upper lids too

A lot of people think liquid eyeliners are the only ones that can be applied on upper lids. But if you want to make subtle statement and not dramatize your look, a pencil eyeliner just above the upper lash line can do the trick. Just make sure it’s as close to the lash line as possible to keep everyone guessing “may be you are born with it or may be it’s Maybelline!!”

Opthalmalogically tested

Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers as well.

No extra cost

Comes off with soap and water unlike some products that only come off with eye makeup removers.

Very affordable

It’s priced so right that you will be tempted to get it in multiple shades. But to start with, here’s a guide telling you which shade of eye liner is best suited for your eye color:

Blue eyes: Cinnabar or Espresso

Green eyes: Pewter or Espresso

Gray eyes: Sapphire or Pewter

Hazel eyes: Jade or Cinnabar

Brown eyes: Sapphire or Jade

Onyx looks good with any eye color.

You don’t have to stick to this guide but these shades will enhance your eyes and make them stand out.

Cons

The only con I can think of is the fact that to completely get it off, you need to rub your eyelid with a wet cloth after washing it with soap and water. Though it just vouches for how long lasting it is, it might just be seen as a pain point by some.

Trick

To apply on the inner rim of the upper eyelids, apply 2 coats on the lower eyelid and blink several times. The color gets on the upper eyelid as well and makes your eyes really pop out.
